Australia Day New Citizens Ceremony

Each year we manage the annual Australia Day New Australians citizenship ceremony at the local council hall in Kawana.

Seniors Christmas luncheon

An annual Christmas luncheon for local senior citizens, catered for by the hospitality students of Kawana Waters State College.

We Raise Funds

We run a number of fundraisers each year, including "A Night to Remember" music trivia quiz. Every dollar raised goes to a variety of wonderful charities. See "Our Projects" and "Our Beneficiaries" for more information.

We Support Our Youth

Equine Therapy

Mooloolaba Rotarians drive selected primary school students with learning and behavioural issues to the Equine Alliance property at Palmwoods. The kids interact with horses, the changes in some children have to be seen to be believed.

Telling Stories

Telling Stories is an annual story writing competition for years 4 through 12 students organised and run by the Youth Committee of Mooloolaba Rotary.

RYPEN

We select and sponsor students to attend the annual Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment, a residential weekend long program delivering leadership training for 14 - 16 years olds. Over the course of the program they focus on building Resilience, Communication, Teamwork, Responsibility of Self, Habit Formation, Community Advocacy, Trust and Mindfulness Skills.

We Support Our World

Water and Sanitation, Solomon Islands

Members of our club have travelled to the Solomon Islands several times over the past ten years to install fresh water and toilet facilities in remote village primary schools, as well as building nurse aid posts.

Working at Donations in Kind Depot Brisbane

Working at RARE Depot Brisbane

Rotary clubs of our District source donated medical and educational material to be sorted and packed at the Rotary Australia Re-purposing of Equipment (RARE - formerly DIK) depot in containers for shipment to Pacific Ocean destinations, including Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands.

The Rotary Foundation, Rotary's own member charity. the largest private charity in the world. Doing good in the world.

"Robbie Burns" Evening

Our 2021-22 President Cathy welcomes guests to a “Robbie Burns” night in elegant Scottish attire. The obligatory haggis made an appearance.

Opera in the Hangar

Members attended a memorable “Opera in the Hangar” at the Queensland Air Museum, Caloundra in November 2021. The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Caloundra Pacific and raised funds for ALIVE.org.au - ending youth suicide and RESET – ending domestic violence.
